How to remove a unwanted autocompletion browser URL entry

Everyone knows the problem. You enter the first characters of an website URL like “www.goo” in your browser and the one of the autocomplete entry is “www.gooooolge.com”.
That is very annoying but as easy to remove the incorrect entry.

In Firefox and Internet Explorer you simply select the wanted URL with your cursor keys and remove it with the delete key.

Opera shows a small X beside the entry to delete it.

In Chrome and Safari you have to open the browser history where it is possible to remove unwanted entries.
